MGW Consulting was established in 1992 and is owner-operated by Martina Wood, CMA, bringing to her clients a wealth of experience in delivering financial and management counsel and results.

Ms Wood’s professional background includes corporate management and consulting in systems, controls and process improvement. She is a top-notch finance professional who is a results-oriented, pro-active strategic thinker and resourceful change agent to enhance strategic and operational effectiveness.

Ms. Wood has led or been involved in numerous projects and strategic initiatives with a focus on process improvement and controls, including systems implementations, business continuity planning and management; merger / business combination / divestiture activities; risk assessment, review and insurance issues; HR issues; corporate scorecard; DB and DC pension due diligence / audit and pension transfer issues at time of business inception and subsequent merger; performance metrics / management, benefits plan; and compensation planning; and much more.

She is also the author of a personal finance book published in 2001, entitled Hold on to Your Money - Financial Survival for Today and Tomorrow.

Ms. Wood has held governance roles with CMA Ontario (Board Member) and City of Mississauga Election Campaign Finances Committee (Vice Chair). She is currently involved with two community groups of personal interest.
